In any case, the simple basic craps rules allow people of any age, level of income, and experience to enjoy the game.

The game of craps is played at a specially designed craps table with the typical markings. To start playing one of the gamblers has to roll the dice on the table, but according to the basic craps rules it must be done in a right way. First of all, it is forbidden to roll the dice with two hands, the dice should be hold in one hand if not the shot is regarded as illegal. What is more, after the roll is done the dice must hit the end of the table, again if this rule is not maintained the dice roll can not be counted as well. Before the first roll which is called "Coming out Roll" the player makes his bets on the betting zone on the craps table. This area comprises three parts in accordance to their purpose. These parts contain the markings which indicate the Proposition Bets, Pass and Don't Pass Bets, Come and Don't Come Bets, Place Bets, and Field Bets. When the gambler chooses the Pass line bet he or she has the opportunity to win if number 7 or 11 appears. In case a 2, 3, or 12 comes out the craps player loses. Other appearing numbers in the come out roll are usually knows as a "point". According to the basic craps rules if the "point" comes out the dice must be thrown again and again by the time a 7 or 11 appears and the gambler is the winner.

The gambler which makes a Don't Pass Bet is able to win only in case number 2 or 3 falls out however if either a 7 or 11 falls out the bet is counted to be losing. If that was the second throw after the point was thrown, a Point Roll, so the dice are thrown again and again till the same point occurs. This time the player wins in case a 7 or 11 is thrown first, but if the same point number comes out first, the player loses. As the basic craps rules state, in case the rest numbers come out the dice are thrown again until the mentioned numbers fall out.

Come Bet is the same as the Pass Line bet, but according to the craps rules this bet can be made only after point falls out on the pass line bet. It is determined after the very first roll. The 7 and 11 numbers are winners while the 2, 3, and 12 are losers. And the come point must be re-rolled.

According to the basic craps rules Don't Come Bet is the reverse of Come Bet, that is why if the 2 or 3 comes out the gambler wins, if number 7 or 11 appears the craps player loses.
